前些日子我在做编曲的时候，我儿就在一边看着。有一天他兴奋得让我听他做的曲子，就是这首曲子的初稿。当时我非常惊讶，没想到他竟然自己学会了车库编曲。 在这之前他做过一些简短的小曲子，都在一分钟左右。做这样完整的曲子还是第一次。

第一遍的初稿非常简单，没有前奏，就是几段完全一样的重复。后来，他自己修改了好几次。加了歌曲的前奏，每一段都有层次变化。再后来，加了和音和变奏。加快了歌曲的速度。前后改了五六次。这是最后的成品。

看到他对音乐表现出的前所未有的兴趣，我感到非常惊喜和欣慰。也希望他继续做自己喜欢的事。

他还缠着我唱这首歌。这首歌的演唱版本，我就在周年庆国庆节的时候再发帖子吧：））

这是一首著名的民谣歌曲，写于1940年代。先有美国版本，后来又有了加拿大版本。
