8:53 ET - Shares in GNC Holdings (GNC) pop 16% premarket as the company beat estimates and says its loyalty program and new Amazon.com storefront are showing positive results. Still, GNC posts 1Q declines in revenue, profit and same-store sales. Shares are trading around $8.48 premarket, down from above $30 this time last year. GNC execs say they have worked to simplify pricing for customers and be more competitive with online sellers and competitors. At the end of 1Q, 5M consumers have joined its rewards program, which is increasing consumer frequency and spending.
